Welcome to Bionico. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bionico platform and services. Please read these carefully. By accessing or using Bionico, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
Bionico is a personal health information platform that analyzes blood biomarkers, genomic data, and wearable metrics using artificial intelligence to provide health insights and coaching. The platform transforms your uploaded health data into a continuously updated "Digital Health Twin" that scores your health across 13 clinical domains and provides personalized health guidance.
2. Important: Not Medical Advice
Bionico provides health information only and is NOT a medical service. The platform does not provide:
- Medical diagnosis or clinical diagnosis of diseases
- Treatment recommendations or prescriptions
- Medical advice or clinical assessment
- Replacement for professional medical care
AI-generated content on Bionico is informational only and based on patterns in your data. You must always consult qualified healthcare professionals — physicians, clinicians, or other licensed medical providers — before making any medical decisions, starting treatments, changing medications, or taking health actions based on Bionico outputs.
3. No Diagnostic Claims
Bionico does not:
- Diagnose diseases, conditions, or disorders
- Prescribe medications, supplements, or treatments
- Replace clinical care, medical imaging, or professional medical assessment
- Provide clinical risk scores or validated medical predictions
All Bionico insights are estimates and interpretations only, not clinical assessments. Health scores, domain ratings, and AI coaching are generated for personal awareness and should not be relied upon for medical decision-making.
4. User Responsibilities
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of all health data you upload to Bionico
- You understand that AI interpretations of your data are estimates, not clinical assessments or medical opinions
- You will not upload health data belonging to other people without their explicit informed consent
- Bionico's analysis is based on patterns in your data and may contain errors or omissions
- You will verify any important health findings with qualified healthcare professionals before acting on them
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Bionico only for:
- Your own personal health information and health awareness
- Private use and personal understanding of your health data
You may not:
- Commercially resell, distribute, or monetize health insights generated by Bionico
- Upload health data belonging to third parties without their consent
- Use Bionico data for research, clinical studies, or medical claims without explicit authorization
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract Bionico's AI models or algorithms
- Use Bionico to provide medical advice to others
6. Intellectual Property
Bionico platform, design, algorithms, AI coaching system, and all related intellectual property are owned by BioNico GmbH. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute these materials.
Your Data: You retain full ownership of all health data you upload to Bionico. We do not claim ownership of your personal health information.
7. Limitation of Liability
BioNico GmbH is not liable for health decisions made based on Bionico's outputs. The service is provided "as is" without any warranties of medical accuracy, fitness for medical use, or completeness. We do not warrant that:
- Bionico's analysis is medically accurate or clinically valid
- Health insights will be free from errors or omissions
- AI coaching will be appropriate for your specific circumstances
- Any particular health outcomes will result from using Bionico
You use Bionico at your own risk. In no event shall BioNico GmbH be liable for any health consequences, medical complications, or damages resulting from your use of the platform or reliance on its outputs.
8. Service Availability & Changes
Bionico operates on a best-effort basis. We may:
- Modify features, functionality, or pricing with reasonable notice (typically 30 days)
- Experience temporary service interruptions for maintenance or updates
- Discontinue features or tiers with reasonable notice
We will notify you of material changes via email or through the platform.
9. Account Termination
Your rights: You may stop using Bionico and delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal health data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Our rights: BioNico GmbH reserves the right to terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful behavior
- Upload non-consensual or third-party health data
- Attempt to abuse or misuse the platform
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Canton of Zug, Switzerland.
11. Data Processing & Privacy
Your use of Bionico is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All personal data is processed in accordance with GDPR and the Swiss nDSG. See Security for details on data protection and encryption.
12. Changes to These Terms
BioNico GmbH may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of Bionico after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
